Lox Club is a dating company building communities that allow our members to find love organically. We’re on a mission to help those who hate dating apps find each other, become better daters, and laugh about it. Our flagship product is the Lox Club, a membership-based community for Jew-ish singles with ridiculously high standards.
We are growing rapidly and investing heavily in the future by opening new clubs targeting elite singles in niche communities, creating original programming via Lox media, and expanding into physical spaces.

The Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our iOS and Android apps, as well as our internal web tools. The right person is thorough, hardworking, and collaborative. If you don't know the answer to a problem, you know how to find it.
What you’ll do
Work with the engineering team to develop new features and build to best practices
Code new features (and improve old ones) for our iOS app, Android app, and internal tools
Track down and fix bugs
Build out our frontend testing framework and improve test coverage
Develop native iOS and Android modules and link them to our react native app
Work with our community team on bug reports, feature requests, and building internal tools
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React Native
Strong familiarity with using a React Native testing framework (e.g. detox)
Strong knowledge of Git / Version Tracking
Solid software engineering skills (problem solving, architecture, testing)
Excellent social and communication skills
Desirable Skills:
Tracking and interpreting analytics to make data-driven decisions
Experience with a mobile analytics platform
Familiarity with Typescript
Familiarity with messaging services e.g. Onesignal, Twilio
Familiarity with the iOS and Android app stores
Familiarity with Google Firebase services
