Matchmaking is a time-tested business over thousands of years, and we believe the future of dating feels like magic: we combine humans and technology to find your most compatible partner and set you up, removing all friction and saving you time.
We recently launched a premium, personalized matchmaking service across our clubs – with thousands on our waitlist. We’re hiring Matchmakers to help scale the magic.
The Role
As a Matchmaker at Lox Club, you will work 1:1 with our members to curate meaningful connections based on their unique preferences and dealbreakers. The ideal candidate is someone who can deeply understand our members’ personalities and dating goals, while maintaining the fun, light-hearted essence of Lox Club’s culture.
We welcome Matchmakers from various industries and backgrounds who are empathetic, approachable, and enthusiastic about helping people find love. This role is perfect for those who thrive on human connection and are driven by a passion for making meaningful matches.
Key Responsibilities
Work 1:1 with Lox Club members to understand their unique relationship goals, preferences, and dealbreakers.
Curate and vet high-potential matches based on members’ specified preferences and dealbreakers, ensuring a high level of compatibility.
Facilitate introductions and dates between set-ups. Act as a liaison between matched members, coordinating introductions and date logistics to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Gather detailed feedback from members to refine and enhance our matchmaking process.
Think outside the box to find creative ways to match people, incorporating both traditional and modern methods.
Collaborate with other matchmakers and our product team to improve our matchmaking tools and member experience.
Qualifications
Flexible schedule; able to 10-20 hours per week, including some evenings or weekends.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
A natural ability to connect with people, creating a welcoming and trusting environment.
Team-oriented with positive energy. Enjoys working collaboratively with a low ego and high enthusiasm.
Comfortable with the fast-paced, dynamic nature of a startup environment.
Passion for people and connection: truly excited by the experience about the art of matchmaking and building genuine connections.
